Electronic paper, also known as ePaper, is a green technology that mimics the appearance of ordinary ink on paper. ePaper displays contain millions of capsules filled with a clear fluid containing microscopic particles that change position when an electrical charge is applied to them.
ePaper is a “smart”, sustainable alternative to traditional communication methods. The ePaperSignSystem combines low-power ePaper displays with an intelligent management platform, allowing you to change the screen whenever the need arises. The displays are ”always connected” and “cord-free” and can be placed on a wall, table top or freestanding stanchion or anywhere within WiFi range.
ePaper is a circular economy product and produces zero-carbon during operation. This makes it ideal for eliminating paper waste and reducing energy consumption. Power is only used when the image is updated, which significantly increases battery life. New images are deployed from the clould, thus eliminating print production and delivery costs associated with traditional methods.

ePAPER IS BETTER THAN LCD.
An LCD screen has to refresh 50 times per second, regardless of the change of image. Compare this to ePaper which only uses power when changed. Infrequent updates provide the best results for energy use and cost savings, the math is simple. Designers and architects also like the calmness of the ePaper displays compared to the ‘light noisy’ LCD.

ePAPER CAN BE UPDATED
IN BELOW ZERO TEMPERATURES
Until recently the manufacturers’ warranty only covered ePaper use in temperature ranges between 0° and 50°C.
This has recently changed and updates are now possible
in temperatures from –25°C to 55°C. Thus expanding
ePaper’s reach from indoor to outdoor. It’s definitely strong enough to survive a Canadian winter, eh.
